Yoyodyne's T15011 Racing Slipper Clutch is made specifically for Suzuki SV650 (1999-current).
The slipper clutch prevents and/or reduces rear wheel hop when entering a turn. Our slipper clutch features a Ceramic coated pressuer plate for longer wear, the clutch spring pockets are elongated for better feel, and the pressure plate is vented and ducted to help the clutch run cooler.
The function of the slipper clutch is to reduce the pressure on the clutch pack when the engine is in the process of turning the engine. In the case of road racing type slipper clutches, there is no effect on clutch engagement when the engine is in the process of driving the real wheel. During the process of slowing for a turn (Engine Braking) the action of the torque forces the ramps together; the ramps then proceed to ride up on each other, an action which lifts the splined part of the hub off the base.
This is the heavy duty version of the SV slipper clutch, intended for higher HP motorcycles used in Supertwin and Dirt Track racing. The clutch uses an extra friction plate and steel plate for more torque capacity. Uses 2007 Honda CBR 600rr springs (not included). The clutch inclueds a taller clutch basket to accomodate the extra clutch plates.
