Healtech's iQSE-BMW-QSH-F6D Quick Shifter Easy is made specifically for BMW K1600 (all years).
The idea behind the quickshifter is quite simple: clutchless, full throttle shifts for minimum time loss during a gearchange. The quickshifter cuts the ignition or fuel, unloads the gearbox, making it possible for you to switch one gear up without closing the throttle. By the time the spark or fuel comes back, you're already in the next gear - no hassle, no glitch, no time lost. You save a couple of milliseconds per gear change, and these small increments all add up by the end of the lap, reducing your time by 1 or 2 seconds which is quite impressive.
A few years back strain gauge quickshifter technology was only available at the top level of motorcycle racing, like MotoGP and World Superbikes. Now it's available for the average rider looking for MotoGP level technology.
As easy as it can get: The iQSE (for Android & iOS devices) was designed with the average rider in mind to make installation and setup as simple as possible, yet it has all the features seen in other makers' higher end ($$$) quick shifters. The MotoGP technology strain gauge (not just load-cell) is the ultimate technology, with the most adjustability ("compression/extension" sensitivity, kill time, cutoff delay). The iQSE can be mounted for standard or reverse shift patterns, according to the mounting location.
Small yet powerful: The iQSE sensor and control module comes in a tiny (typical for Healtech) package, so you don't have to sacrifice your underseat storage.
Wireless Connectivity: The iQSE is the only quickshifter module on the market which uses Bluetooth technology for on-the-fly changes.
Reliability is Key: There are no moving parts in the MotoGP-style strain gauge sensor. It's a robust design. The sensor is weatherproof and shockproof.
Easy Software: Control app operates via Bluetooth from Android and i0S devices.
Updates are free and automatic for the lifetime of the product. An easy download, small footprint, and allows you to control cut off "kill" time at 9 different engine speeds (including making "fine step" incremental changes), adjust sensor sensitivity (sometimes called "compression/extension"), and cutoff delay. You can also disable the unit for normal street riding. Additionally, you can create multiple stored profiles for different bikes (unlimited).
Note: Each unit is extensively tested and comes with a 30-day money back guarantee if for any reason it fails to meet your expectations (all parts must be returned in original condition). This product carries a two year transferable warranty (the product may not be damaged or subjected to over-voltage)
ATTENTION K1600 GT/GTL OWNERS: The K1600 has an extremely long shift linkage (this is why your trans feels clunky from the factory, especially on pre-2014 bikes), and requires a VERY FIRM positive upshift motion for a quick shifter sensor to trigger. So if you have a QSE kit on another bike, you cannot expect to use the same amount of foot pressure on your kit on the K1600 and have it function the same. We suggest this [short-shift linkage kit] from DMAC Machining (in Colorado) which will make your K1600 linkage function more like most motorcycles in pressure required if you're otherwise feeling like you need to use too much foot pressure to make the QSE sensor activate.
